Set in a protected 17th century house in the heart of old Amsterdam, the Weavery offers the unique character and style of a boutique hotel, with the personal service and homely comfort of a family run bed & breakfast. With beautiful wooden flooring and authentic exposed beams throughout, the suite studio apartment offers enchanting accommodation in the heart of the city. The light living area features two retro armchairs, a coffee table and a flat screen TV and iPod docking station. The compact open kitchen area, is well equipped, including a dishwasher, double hob, microwave and fridge. There is also a breakfast bar with seating for two. There are two queen-size beds, one in the main room of the apartment and a second one in the cosy raised gallery, between the rafters. Both beds are made up with with premium, natural beddings and top matrasses from Cocomat. For ultimate comfort, a large bathroom features a bath and rain-shower, and a separate private toilet. The bonus of the accommodation is your own private roof terrace overlooking internal courtyards; a hidden side of the real Amsterdam, you most rarely get a chance to see. The Weavery is as perfectly located as can be imagined, in the heart of the historic city center. A perfect base from which to explore the city with its cultural offerings and nightlife.
The museum square is merely a five minute walk away. Here, you find the Van Gogh Museum, the recently reopened Stedelijk Museum of Modern Art and the newly renovated Rijksmuseum with its collection of world renowned masterworks. The Weavery is also only a short stroll from all the big theaters and the Opera. All the main shopping areas like Leidestraat, the 9 Streets and PC Hooftstraat are just around the corner and so are many lovely cafes and restaurants. And if you just want to relax in between, you can enjoy the tranquility of the Vondelpark, which is also within easy reach.
For those of you who want to venture a little further afield, hop on one of the many trams to take you across Amsterdam. The main train station, Central Station is also just a ten-minute tram ride away.
