It is well furnished, with a six sofa-bed and a sofa, a coffee table and a the flat screen television (with cable). The open kitchen area, at the back of this floor, is modern and well equipped, including an oven, hob, fridge and dishwasher. There is a dining table to seat six too, so everyone can sit in comfort and enjoy their meal. Upstairs, there are two single beds in the corridor. From here you can enter the bedroom with three single beds. The bedroom is comfortable and well decorated. The painted rafters add a romantic feel. Also on this floor, is the small but adequate modern bathroom, which has a bath, separate shower and washbasin. With wooden floors throughout, and a neutral, elegant colour scheme, this simple, but well-presented accommodation is hard to fault. The “Negen straatjes” (9 streets), home to many of Amsterdam’s exciting smaller boutiques, are literally on your doorstep. The Palace on Dam Square, the Red-Light District, the hectic Kalverstraat shopping street and the calm of the Vondel park are all only a short walk away. Visit the tempting Lindengracht food market on a Saturday morning, or the farmers' market on the Noordermarkt. A thirty minute stroll away (or 5 minute tram ride) is the Museumplein, home to the Van Gogh Museum, the newly reopened Stedelijk Museum of Modern Art and the Rijksmuseum with its collection of world renowned masterworks.
