With its mix of contemporary and traditional, this ground floor apartment, with direct street access, is a stylish base from which to explore Amsterdam. The living area, at the front of the apartment, features a sofa, armchair and flat screen television with cable and DVD player. Should you get bored, settle in the window seat and watch the comings and goings on the canal outside. The kitchen area is large and features a dining table. The kitchen itself is well equipped, featuring an oven, hob, microwave, fridge and, of course, a dishwasher. The stylish bedroom, at the back of the apartment, has a double bed, a single bed and a large wardrobe. The contemporary bathroom, with shower, is finished to a high standard. A washing machine and dryer are also available. If you are looking for comfort and style in the heart of Amsterdam, then this perfect base from which to explore the city.
This canal-side apartment is situated on Da Costakade, in the Old West district of Amsterdam. With plenty of shops, cafés and restaurants in the neighbourhood, you will not have to go far to find what you need.
The famous Jordaan area, with its “Negen straatjes” (9 streets), home to many of Amsterdam’s exciting smaller boutiques, is just a ten minute walk away. The Palace on Dam Square or the hectic Kalverstraat shopping street are also within easy reach, either on foot, by bike or tram. Visit the tempting Lindengracht food market on a Saturday morning, or the farmers' market on the Noordermarkt. A twenty-minute stroll away (or five minute tram ride) is the Museumplein, home to the Van Gogh Museum, the newly reopened Stedelijk Museum of Modern Art and the Rijksmuseum with its collection of world-renowned masterworks. Something for every taste!
For those of you who want to venture a little further afield, hop on one of the many trams to take you across Amsterdam. The main train station, Central Station, is also just a short ride away.
